Munnar sits about 1,500 metres above sea level in the Western Ghats, so the air stays cool even when the plains are warm. Rolling tea estates, quiet viewpoints and misty mornings make it one of the most romantic hill stations in South India. Our Munnar honeymoon packages start from ₹31,500 per couple, without flights.
Most couples spend two nights in Munnar and then continue to Thekkady or Alleppey, so the trip ends with a private houseboat night. The drive from Kochi airport to Munnar is about 110 km and takes roughly 3.5 to 4 hours, with waterfalls and spice plantations along the way.
Best time to visit Munnar as a couple
Munnar is pleasant through the year. September to March is the clearest season, with cool evenings. The monsoon from June to August brings mist, waterfalls and lower rates, although some viewpoints can close on heavy rain days.
How many nights in Munnar?
Two nights is enough to see the main viewpoints and still enjoy a slow morning. If you want a treehouse or a secluded resort for more privacy, add a third night and stay away from the busy town.
