Kumarakom sits on Vembanad Lake and is one of the quietest parts of the Kerala backwaters, known for lake views, a bird sanctuary and houseboat cruises. Our Kumarakom honeymoon packages start from ₹31,500 per couple. The houseboat night is a One Bedroom Deluxe Private Houseboat on the Kumarakom or Alleppey backwaters, with a welcome drink, lunch, evening tea and snacks, dinner and breakfast the next day. Our Tree House Honeymoon plan adds a candlelight dinner and flower bed decoration on the houseboat night. Plans usually start in Munnar and end with sightseeing in Cochin.
Best time for the Kumarakom backwaters
The backwaters can be enjoyed through the year. The cooler months from November to February are the most comfortable. During the monsoon from June to August the lake is green and calm, but cruises depend on the weather. Midday can be warm in April and May, so evening cruises are the most pleasant.
