Kerala Honeymoon Package Cost in 2026-27: Real Price Breakdown

How much does a Kerala honeymoon cost? Real 2026-27 package prices per couple for 4, 5 and 6 days, what's included, and tips to stay within budget.

Kerala Honeymoon Package Cost in 2026-27: Real Price Breakdown

The first question almost every couple asks us is simple: how much does a Kerala honeymoon actually cost? The honest answer is that it depends on four things: how many nights you stay, the category of hotels you choose, whether you want a private houseboat or special stays like pool villas and treehouses, and whether you want us to include flights from your city.

This guide breaks down real Kerala honeymoon package prices for the 2026-27 season, based on the packages couples book with us most often, so you can plan a budget before you even pick up the phone.

Kerala honeymoon package prices at a glance

All prices below are per couple, for land arrangements (stays, private car with driver, sightseeing and honeymoon extras). Flights are quoted separately because fares change every week.

Package type Typical duration Price per couple (without flights) Best for
Value honeymoon 3 nights / 4 days From about ₹35,000 Short trips, Munnar plus a houseboat night
Classic honeymoon 4 nights / 5 days About ₹37,000 to ₹55,000 Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey
Premium honeymoon 5 nights / 6 days About ₹55,000 to ₹80,000 Better resorts, more relaxed pace
Luxury and special stays 4 to 6 nights About ₹76,000 to ₹1,20,000+ Pool villas, jacuzzi suites, glass houseboats

Most couples who book with us end up spending around ₹45,000 per couple for a well-planned 5-day honeymoon, before flights.

What makes up the cost of a Kerala honeymoon

1. Hotels and resorts (the biggest share)

Your stays account for most of the package price. A standard hill resort room in Munnar costs far less than a valley-view pool villa or a jacuzzi suite in the same town. This is also where you get the biggest jump in experience: waking up to tea gardens from a private pool is what most couples remember years later.

2. The houseboat night

A night on the Alleppey or Kumarakom backwaters is part of nearly every Kerala honeymoon. The price depends on whether the houseboat is private (just the two of you) or shared with other guests, and whether it is a standard boat or a premium glass-covered one. We only use private houseboats for honeymoon couples, and our honeymoon houseboat nights include a welcome drink, lunch, evening tea and snacks, a candlelight dinner, flower-bed decoration and breakfast the next morning.

3. Private car and driver

Kerala honeymoons are best done by road with a private AC car. A sedan is enough for a couple. The cost covers fuel, the driver’s allowance, tolls and parking for the full trip, so you are not paying the driver separately each day.

4. Honeymoon extras

Candlelight dinners, cake, flower-bed decoration, couple photoshoots and spa sessions can be added individually. Many of these are already included in our honeymoon packages, which is one reason our quotes can look slightly higher than a bare-bones package at first glance.

5. Flights from your city

Most of our honeymoon couples fly in from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Kochi airport has direct flights from all of these cities. We can quote your package with return flights included, so you see one final number instead of juggling separate bookings.

Sample budgets for real itineraries

4 days: Munnar and a houseboat night

Two nights in Munnar and one night on a private houseboat, ending with Kochi sightseeing. This works well for couples with limited leave. Our 4-day Kerala tree house honeymoon starts from about ₹35,000 per couple, and goes up to around ₹47,000 if you choose a jacuzzi suite or pool villa in Munnar.

5 days: Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey

The classic route, covering tea hills, the spice country and the backwaters. Our 5-day Kerala package starts from about ₹37,000 per couple with standard stays, with options all the way up to luxury honeymoon hotels.

6 days: hills, backwaters and beach

Adding Kovalam or Varkala gives you a slow last day by the sea. Our 6-day luxury Kerala package is built for couples who want premium resorts at every stop.

When prices go up (and when they come down)

  • Peak season (December to January): resorts charge their highest rates, and the week between Christmas and New Year often comes with compulsory gala dinner charges.
  • Shoulder season (October, November, February, March): great weather with more reasonable rates.
  • Monsoon (June to August): the lowest prices of the year, lush green landscapes and fewer tourists, ideal for couples who don’t mind some rain.

Because most couples book three to four months ahead, the best rooms for December and January are often gone by September. If you are travelling in peak season, book early.

How to keep your Kerala honeymoon within budget

  • Spend one or two nights in a special stay (pool villa or treehouse) and keep the rest standard. You get the experience without paying luxury rates every night.
  • Travel in the shoulder months instead of the last two weeks of December.
  • Choose 5 days instead of 4 if you can. The extra night costs less than you’d think and saves you a rushed itinerary.
  • Ask for a quote with flights included, so you compare final prices, not partial ones.
  • Check what’s included. A cheaper package with a shared houseboat and no sightseeing can end up costing more once you pay for extras.

Frequently asked questions

Is ₹40,000 enough for a Kerala honeymoon?

Yes, for 4 to 5 days with good 3-star stays and a private houseboat night, without flights. Add flights from your city on top of that.

Do you charge GST on tour packages?

Yes. Tour packages in India attract GST, and we show it clearly in your quote so there are no surprises at payment time.

Can we pay by card?

Yes. We accept card payments, bank transfer and UPI. A part payment confirms your booking and the balance is paid before travel.
